In an article on WFLA.com, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd addresses the severity of the problem and is quoted saying, “We could run this on the news tonight and then start again and get another 75 to 100 suspects.”

Human trafficking reports are on the rise in Florida and across the country.  Earlier this year, three men were accused of kidnapping a 19 year old woman and trying to force her into prostitution in Boynton Beach. The Palm Beach Post reported in a February 20th article that the Florida Department of Children and Families counted nearly 1,900 reports of human trafficking statewide in 2016, a 54 percent increase from the previous year.

And, many of those forced into this modern day slavery are children.

This post is the first in a series meant to bring awareness to this worldwide epidemic.  The Jesus Alliance is taking every effort to work to get legislation passed to make this a federal crime.
