Oscar Ratings Drop and It’s No Wonder
Sunday night’s Academy Awards broadcast brought in its smallest audience, ever. In his opening monologue, Jimmy Kimmel decided to attack Vice President Mike Pence’s Christian faith, using a homosexual movie that many think leans towards pedophelia.
‘Call Me By Your Name,’ a film nominated for Best Picture, follows the ‘romance’ between a very old-looking 24-year-old man and a young-looking 17-year-old boy. It has not done well at the box office compared to its fellow nominees.
“We don’t make movies like ‘Call Me By Your Name’ to make money,” said Kimmel. “We make them to upset Mike Pence.”
That was met with thunderous applause by Hollywood.
Already there are organizations forming that seek to legitimize pedophilia by changing the perception of a pedophile preying on a child to the term “man-boy relationship”, or “man-boy attraction.”
Corey Feldman, the child star who has recently addressed the sexual abuse of children in Hollywood, summed up how paradoxical the evening was considering all of the movements that the stars are standing for:
