I wonder what was going through the mind of Jesus a little over 2000 years ago during this week leading up to His crucifixion. Like seeing a hurricane bearing down on us with fury He knew what would strike in mere days. Nothing can compare with the evil that would rip Him apart as He took on the sins of the world. And yet He took it all in stride.

Yesterday I related that I was in a rut and many responded and most indicated that they too were in a rut. It was refreshing to hear that I was not the only one, once again proving the old adage that misery loves company. Perhaps the best response received for the day was this excerpt: “Ah yes Bob, ruts and change are part of this life we all have to deal with. Most don’t put their finger on it like you have. I will pray with Judith for God’s direction for you and your powerful ministry. We know the saints of old had theirs. Mother Teresa had a terrible time of questioning God and her ministry, those were very dark days for her I read. If it can happen to Mother Teresa . . . well guess what – Was there ever a more Godly women?”

When 20th Century Fox released a preview for “Breakthrough,” it quickly went viral. On January 19, 2015, 14-year-old John Smith was trapped underwater for 15 minutes. First responders pulled him from the icy waters of Lake Sainte Louise near St. Louis, Missouri.

I would ask that you prayerfully consider offering a gift of any size to the Jesus Alliance. We need more funding now! Last year we reached over 35 million people with the truth of God. We need to do more in order to combat the Planned Parenthoods, Humanist atheists, George Soros’s and MoveOn.orgs of the world who relentlessly fill the internet with anti-God messaging.

Another black day for America went into the books yesterday as Senate Democrats blocked a Republican bill that would have threatened prison time for doctors who don’t try saving the life of infants born alive during failed abortions. All prominent Democratic 2020 presidential hopefuls in the Senate voted down the measure, including Bernie Sanders of Vermont, Kamala Harris of California, Cory Booker of New Jersey, Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts. The final vote was 53-44 to end Democratic delaying tactics – seven votes short of the 60 needed.

Saturday my wife and I went to “the Send,” a major stadium Christian event in Orlando FL. Over 90,000 people registered for this event of prayer, worship, and preaching the Gospel and 59,000 showed up with thousands more viewing livestreaming. Their overriding message was the same as the Jesus Alliance, If Christians want to pray for awakening and revival, then they need to actually go out into the world and get to work.
