impact

We are a highly effective and efficient organization—focused on RESULTS and PEOPLE—all for the sake of Jesus. The true measure of our success is when people—individuals and organizations—are activated to go out and BE THE CHURCH. We want to help support every YES made for Him. Be inspired by some of the impact stories that we share below.

Together the Jesus Alliance has done some amazing things in 2021, including:

  • The distribution of 10,000 Gospels of John
  • The building of baptistries in churches in Venezuela
  • Distribution of evangelism and discipleship content to persecuted churches in the South Sudan, Kenya, and Pakistan
  • Delivery of truckloads of food, water, and other supplies during disaster response efforts here in the U.S.
  • Mentorship and resource support for many others committed to doing the work that God has given them to do
  • And in December we began working with partners on the ground to respond to those in need after tornadoes struck in 6 states

Foster Family Christmas Drive

Members of the Jesus Alliance helped provide funding for gifts for ten families this past Christmas. The $3,000 that was raised by our generous audience allowed our partner, Darlington Long Term Recovery Group, to provide Christmas to the ten families who have been hurt hard economically by ongoing effects of COVID-19 job loss and now inflation of gas and groceries. We thank our audience for blessing perfect strangers with their generosity.

The Lord really showed us that our growth won’t come from building our ministry, it will come when we activate and support others in building theirs. We launched a “ministry maker” pilot program to encourage and inspire Christians to say ‘yes.’ We assist each ‘yes’ in identifying their passion and gifts and starting their own “ministry” (ministries take many shapes). The program gave our participants a renewed focus and motivation to make an impact, as well as a more clear understanding of what God has created them for. We will seek out more insight during the beta pilot.

HURRICANE IDA RESPONSE

We found this to be one of the most challenging disasters to respond to in recent memory due to supply chain issues. We believe the Lord is using this to bring our awareness to the need to pre-position items in the future and He has brought together a coalition of partners to do so. Despite the challenges, we were able to place:

  • 3 truckloads of bottled water
  • 1 truckload of frozen breads
  • 100 coolers to a hospice agency
  • 1 truckload of KIND®, bars
  • 2 truckloads of bleach
  • 2 truckloads of mold-remediation products

Persecuted Church Initiative

Persecuted Church Initiative

We are happy to report 14 Lightstreams were loaded with content and recently sent to South Sudan and Kenya to facilitate evangelism and discipleship. CEEC (Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches) has helped partner a western (US-based) church with each of the 14 churches that received a device. These one-to-one relationships have been highly impactful on both sides of the relationship. The Bishop over the program sent an email this week saying that he had more names to match up from persecuted churches overseas.

Baptistries in Venezuela

With $1200 that we have raised, we will be able to help four more churches build baptistries in Venezuela. JA Board Member, Manuel, has helped us get the money into the hands of the church partners since the Venezuelan government takes anything that comes into the country conventionally.

CONSERVATION and MEETING NEEDS of NATIVE AMERICANS

Jesus Alliance partner, Peace Initiative, works alongside the Native American Lakota people to help them reconcile with God, their fellow man, and with creation. In helping to provide for a need, Peace Initiative formed a bond with the Lakota People; a trust to help them provide firewood for heat for their families over the cold winter months while also helping the Nature Conservancy clear brush and dead trees that could otherwise fuel wildfire, taking their homes and devastating the Whitney Preserve. It’s a hand-in-hand project that now allows Peace Initiative to share Jesus with the Lakota people and minister to them. The short video shows some of the tools they were able to purchase to continue the mission with the Jesus Alliance‘s help.

JA Partners Unite to Help
Roof Woman’s Home

We worked with Good360, Houston Responds, Mosaic in Action, and AmeriCorps NCCC to reroof Ms. B’s home. The house received an accumulation of weather damage due to past hurricanes, to the point if it did not receive a new roof soon the damage would have been more extensive inside the home. The new roof was just what she needed to lift her spirits!

“Sweet On” SWLA
February 6, 2021

Fifteen Churches, four organizations, and 113 volunteers came together to serve on Saturday, February 6th. The day encompassed home repair, distribution of much needed items, and the serving of hot meals. The Jesus Alliance was on the ground at one of the two distribution sites to support their efforts with the handing out of care packages and providing prayer. Through our partner network, we were able to resource Bombas socks, paper goods, cleaning supplies, bedding, pillows, and a wonderful cooking team who served hot meals.

Honduras Recovery

One of our partners approached us in November to help them help the people of Honduras, who were devastated by back-to-back hurricanes in the San Pedro Sula region. He had a connection with a church in the region, so we asked our following to help by making donations so that the local church there could purchase the items most needed.
